5) Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street
Dig out a red-and-green-striped sweater and settle down for a screaming good time!
This classic 80s slasher movie stars razor-fingered Freddy Krueger as your no-quite-average dream boy.
Look out for a fresh-faced Johnny Depp in his movie debut, and good luck getting a good night’s sleep after watching this fright-fest!

Anyone for some fava beans with a nice Chianti?
This classic psychological horror movie follows a young FBI agent seeking the help of imprisoned cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter.

2) Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining
Who knew room service could be so bloodcurdling with this story of the Overlook Hotel, an isolated hotel with a horrific past. As a lone family settles in as caretakers for the winter, this movie features classic lines such as “Here’s Johnny!”, “Redrum!” and “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”.
Don’t forget to look out for two of the most terrifying twins in horror movie history … poor girls, they just want to play with Danny!
1) Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho
This black-and-white 1960 psychological thriller takes difficult mother issues to a whole new level!
The movie features Norman Bates, the shy taxidermy-loving owner of the secluded Bates Motel who meets a female embezzler on the run when she checks into his remote accommodation.
Generally considered one of Hitchcock’s best movies, we challenge you to try and enjoy a nice warm, relaxing, shower before bed after watching this one!
