Last week’s paddle boarding and towpath litter pick went swimmingly! Get on Board is designed to highlight the problem of plastic pollution in our waterways and demonstrate commitment to the environment and the community. So we joined up with a bunch of other local businesses, and paddled all the way from Kew Bridge to Richmond, clearing the river banks of plastic and other rubbish as we went.
Whilst most people managed to keep their balance admirably, there were definitely some PP Team members who just couldn’t get enough of the water (mentioning no names … Laura, Adam, Ben and Amy). Preferring not to get wet, a second PP team walked along the towpath from Twickenham to Richmond litter picking along the pathway and met the paddlers at the end of their adventure to enjoy a well-earned drink together.
